Every appointment at Scanlon Hair is built around a single base service, then personalised with add-ons to achieve exactly the result you're after.
01 Step one
Choose a base service.
Your base service is the foundation of the appointment - the primary treatment your stylist performs. It determines the time allocated, the products used, and the starting price. Every booking requires exactly one.
Base services range from a simple style cut to a full head of balayage. Your stylist will guide you to the right choice during a consultation if you're unsure.

02 Step two
Personalise with add-ons.
Add-on services layer on top of your base to refine and complete the result. They're entirely optional - and your stylist will recommend which ones make sense for your hair and goals.
Each add-on is priced separately and only the ones relevant to your base service will be available. For example, toning is only offered alongside foil or balayage services.
Toning
Finish foils or balayage with a classic or creative tone to perfect the result.
Cutting
Add a style cut or restyle to a colour or lightening service.
Blowdry & Styling
Booked in 10-minute blocks - from a quick rough-dry to a full finish.
Individual Foils
Add accent foils to a global colour appointment.
Metal Detox Treatment
Protect and strengthen colour-treated hair with an in-salon L'Oréal Professionnel treatment.
03 Putting it together
An example appointment.
Here's how a typical half-head foil appointment might be built using base + add-on services.
Base service
Classic Foils - 1/2 Head
Medium weave foils applied to the top half of the head to brighten and refresh an existing colour. Basin time is included in the foil service.
Add-on
Metal Detox Treatment
L'Oréal Professionnel in-salon treatment applied during colour processing to strengthen hair and protect against metal build-up.
Add-on
Creative Tone 40
A 40-minute creative toning service; in this case, a root shadow blended into lightened ends for a soft, lived-in finish.
Add-on
Add Style Cut
Shape and trim added after colour to complete the look. Basin work is already covered by the foil service.
Add-on
Add Style 40
A 40-minute styling block; 10 minutes is notionally set aside for basin work (already covered by the foil service), leaving 30 minutes of active blow-dry and finish. Priced at the add-on rate accordingly.

Surcharges May Apply
Additional product surcharges apply for thick or very long hair. Your stylist will advise before starting.
Styling is Optional
Blowdry and finish styling is always a separate add-on - so you only pay for the styling time you actually want.
Maintenance Pricing
Our prices assume you are maintaining an existing service at a regular interval. The right interval varies by service; a colour refresh is different to a balayage. If it has been a while, or it is a new service, your quoted price may be higher. Either way, your stylist will confirm pricing during your pre-service consultation before any work begins.
How Style Blocks Work
Every styling service includes 10 minutes for basin work. A Style 30 gives you 20 minutes of active styling; a Style 40 gives you 30 minutes, and so on. When styling is added onto a colour or cut service, basin time is already covered, and the add-on price reflects that.
