Choosing your cut.
A regular cut not only maintains your existing style but also helps to keep your hair healthy. We offer two cuts, and the difference between them is whether you want to keep your shape or change it.
Style Cut
A Style Cut is a maintenance service that keeps your existing style in place. Book it when you like the way your hair sits and want that shape held: the length kept, the lines kept clean and the ends refreshed. It works best when you book it regularly.
Restyle Cut
A Restyle Cut is the one to book when you want a change of shape, such as a new length, a fringe, layers or a different line altogether. It begins with a conversation about what you want and what your hair will do. Book it if it has been more than 8 to 10 weeks since your last cut, or if it is your first visit with us.
A Style Cut or Restyle Cut can also be added to a colour or lightening service when you book. Not sure which suits you? Your stylist will guide you at your appointment, or you can book a free consultation to talk it through first.

Men's cuts
The Men's Style Cut is a service in its own right, discounted from the equivalent standard service to reflect the reduced time and product typically used.
Children's cuts
We cut children's hair from babies through to high school, with a cut for each stage: baby, preschool, primary, and high school for boys and for girls. Children's cutting is available Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Pensioner's cuts
As part of our commitment to our local community, we offer a heavily discounted range of basic hairdressing services to pension card holders, including a Style Cut. They are available Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Curly hair.
We cut curly hair. Curls sit, spring and dry differently from straight or wavy hair, so a curly cut is planned around the way yours naturally falls, not only around length.
Cathy, our owner and creative director, has taken a particular interest in cutting curly hair.
Precision short cuts.
Short hair leaves little room for error, because every line shows. Precision short cuts are Cathy's specialty: clean, considered shapes cut to suit your face, the way your hair grows and how you like to style it.
Book a Restyle Cut if you are going short, or a Style Cut to keep a short cut sharp. You can request Cathy when you book.

Is styling included in my cut?
A cut is priced as a cut. Blowdry and styling is an optional add-on, booked in 10-minute blocks, so you can choose anything from a quick rough-dry to a full finish.
Do I need a consultation before I book a cut?
No. You can book a Style Cut or a Restyle Cut directly, and your stylist will talk it through at your appointment. If you are planning a big change, a free consultation is available by phone or face to face in the salon; it must be booked in advance.
Do you cut children's hair?
Yes. We cut children's hair from babies through to high school, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Pensioner's cuts are available at the same times for pension card holders.
