01 Two ways to model

Pick the path
that suits you.

We work with hair models in two distinct ways. You are welcome to register for one or both.

01 Training model

For our whole team.

Training models work with us in two ways. Our emerging stylists work on training models to develop their craft under the supervision of our senior team. Our senior stylists also work on training models to perfect new styles and trends as they emerge. Either way, you receive a complimentary service in a relaxed setting. Sessions typically run on quieter weekdays.

02 Featured model

For content and events.

From time to time we run photo and video shoots, education evenings, and seasonal launches. Featured models work with our senior stylists on a specific creative brief, and the resulting images may appear on our website, social channels, and in industry submissions.

We want every model to walk in informed. Here is what a session with us looks like in practice, so you can decide whether it is a fit before you fill in the form.

Registering does not commit you to anything. If we have a session that suits, we will be in touch and you can decide then.

Complimentary service

Services for models are usually complimentary. Occasionally there is a partial charge to cover product costs, and we will always confirm any charge with you up front. Please arrive with clean, dry hair and allow plenty of time for the session.

Longer than usual

Training and featured sessions take longer than a standard booking. Plan for two to four hours depending on the service, sometimes more for colour work.

Senior stylist always involved

A senior stylist is on hand for every session. Either they are performing the work themselves while perfecting a new style, or they are directly supervising an emerging stylist. Featured shoots are led by a senior stylist throughout.

Photos may be taken

We may photograph or film during sessions for training, education, social media, and marketing. The image release in the form covers this, and you can decline at any point in the session.

No purchase obligation

You are never expected to buy products or services on the day. If you do want to take something home you are welcome to, but it is genuinely optional.

All hair, all welcome.

We work with a broad range of hair types and looks. The right model is someone open to the process and comfortable being in our chair for a while.

All hair lengths, textures, and natural colours

Aged 16 or over (with parental consent if under 18)

Open to discussing a recommended service with our stylists

Comfortable being photographed or filmed during the session

Reliable, on time, and able to commit to a booked appointment

Willing to follow stylist guidance for the agreed service

To help us achieve a particular look, it helps us a great deal to know what colouring, lightening, or other chemical processes your hair has received recently. Both in-salon and at-home processes are important for us to know about. Anything from the past 12 months is of interest, even if your hair looks natural today.

For training sessions we match each applicant to a specific skill our stylist is developing, which often has hair-type requirements. For featured shoots we look for models whose look complements the creative brief. Applicants who include photos are much more likely to be selected.

05 Questions

Common questions from models.

Most model sessions are complimentary. Occasionally we will ask for a partial charge to cover product costs, but we will always confirm any charge with you up front before the session. We also do not require you to purchase products or extra services on the day.

Plan for two to four hours, depending on the service. Colour work, especially lightening, runs longer. We will give you an honest estimate when we confirm the booking.

For training sessions, it depends on what is being worked on. Sometimes an emerging stylist performs the service under direct supervision from a senior team member. Other times a senior stylist performs the service themselves while perfecting a new style or trend. For featured sessions, a senior stylist leads the work directly. In every case there are experienced eyes on your hair.

Photos and video may be used for training reviews, social media, our website, and industry submissions. The image release on the form covers these uses, and you can ask us to stop filming at any point during the session.

You are welcome to have a friend or family member come along for support. For training sessions we ask that they sit in the waiting area while the service is in progress so the stylist can focus.

It happens occasionally. If we cannot proceed safely with the service we had planned, we will discuss alternatives or reschedule. We will not push ahead with anything we are not confident about.
